Level 1 editing Editor identifies and corrects all misspellings, improper grammar, errors in word usage or capitalization. If applicable, two documents can be compared to ensure consistency. Includes one 30-minute phone consultation.

Level 2 editing Editor performs all duties described in Level 1, as well as more substantive editing. This includes rewriting sentences for better clarity, and eliminating confusing or awkward passages. Editor seeks to help create concise, logical and clear sentence structures. Editor also strives to keep the writer's personal voice intact. Includes two 30-minute phone consultations. 

Regardless of level, clients receive two edited files: One marked-up file (using Microsoft Word's tracking feature) and one clean file with all changes incorporated, but no editing marks.

Once we provide a time estimate for the project and the client accepts it by signing an agreement, we require a 50 percent deposit at the outset to commence work. The remainder is due within two weeks after delivery of the final work.
